At 2M Street, we are big fans and proud members of our NoMa neighborhood. In addition to our convenient location 2 blocks from the red line Metro, we enjoy close proximity to dining, shopping and the night life and entertainment of both NoMa and H Street. With our NoMa Neighbors series, we are taking to time to recognize some of the businesses in our community. This week, we giving a shoutout to one of our favorite neighborhood eateries, our NoMa Neighbors: Todd Gray’s Watershed.
Watershed was founded by celebrated Washington DC chef Todd Gray. Gray holds an impressive amount of culinary experience but is best known for his downtown DC restaurant Equinox. With Watershed, Chef Gray aims to provide an experience reminiscent of a “drive down the Eastern Seaboard culminating in the South”. Located within the Hilton Garden Inn on 1st Street NE, the restaurant is refreshingly comfortable and elegant. Friendly staff greets and meets your needs as you enjoy a cocktail at the bar or sit down to a meal in the dining room. Diners have multiple options, including the raw bar, lounge, dining room and outdoor patio to choose from. For private events, banquet rooms can accommodate up to 150 seated guests.
On a warm Spring day, we love to soak up the sun on the outdoor patio. An order of grilled Rappahannock oysters and some house-made hushpuppies are the perfect complement to a post-work cocktail. Guests can choose between lounge-style seating for a more relaxed experience or cozy dining tables for a more structured approach. Whatever you choose, you’ll feel a world away from the chaos of the city.
Is there a beloved NoMa Neighbor you’d like us to write about? What is your favorite place to unwind after a long day?
